I began my coding journey in January of 2016, during my senior year of college at West Texas A&M University. I decided to take an intro to programming class, because of a friend's recommendation. I quickly fell in love with the idea that I could create anything I wanted with a *few* lines of code. Since graduating with a B.B.A. in Marketing, I've always found my way back to coding, which is why I made the decision to pursue it as a career.

After a lot of hard work I finally landed my first job in tech. I'm very excited to be working as a Technical Publisher Support Specialist at WarnerMedia. As a TPSS, my role is to make sure ads are displaying correctly on the sites I'm responsible for. When they aren't displaying as expected, I use DevTools, Google Ad Manager, and FreeWheel to troubleshoot.

In May of 2019, I began volunteering as a Teacher's Assistant with RefCode, an organization that teaches refugees how to build their own personal website in 10 weeks, using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. In the short time that I've been volunteering with the organization, it's been really encouraging to see how excited the students are about building their very first website!
